Breitbart: Liberal Pulls Gun Because He Allegedly Hated Man’s MAGA Hat
Wait! A "liberal" with a gun? And he (allegedly) pulled it on someone, for no real reason?
No wonder they want to use threat of government violence to disarm us -- they know that *they* are senselessly violent, and "liberals" *always* project their flaws onto others.
The above thought leads to what I think is an insight --
Conservatives, especially if Christian, know intellectually that all human beings are flawed ('sinful' in Biblical terms, "basically bad" in secular terms), and that human nature itself tends toward wickedness, and cannot be "fixed" by any human means: that "this is as good as it gets". YET, conservatives, especially if Christian, tend to assume the best of each new individual they encounter.
On the other hand, "liberals", "know" intellectually that all human beings are "basically good" -- that it's conditions external to the person which "causes" him to do bad things, and that human beings are perfectible if only the "right conditions" can be imposed on them. YET, "liberals" tend to assume the worst of each new individual they encounter.

Hmmmm. Good post!
Hm. Good point.
It may also be because of self-reflection. IMO, conservatives tend to adopt the "all are sinners - and I am the worst" view, so they assume the best of everybody because they assume others have to be a better person than them.
Conversely, liberals are often self-deluded. They want to always prop themselves up, and as a consequence, end up pushing others down - especially in their estimation.
This more of a corollary than change to your point. ;)
"This more of a corollary than change to your point."
Of course; and I'd not have thought otherwise.
