Socialism Further Simplified: A system wherein those few people who control "the government" assert by force and violence their ownership of your labor, and thus the fruit of your labor. The older and more honest name for such a system is 'slavery'. The distinction between old-fashioned slavery and socialism is that the socialists pretend to be enslaving you "for the common good", rather than for their own narrow self-interest.
Aside from being a more modernist iteration of the human sin-impulse to live by the sweat of another mans brow (i.e. to enslave him), socialism is a means by which the less successful and/or incompetent persons who consider themselves "elite" attempt to use "the masses" as a tool or weapon with which to supplant the successful/top-tier "elites".
Always remember and never forget: To the socialists, you are not a person, made in the Image of God; you are a tool ... or an inconvenience to be disposed of.
