I saw this ad

... for a cool-looking shirt (*) (here). And then, I remembered: dammit!

(*) even at pushing sixty, I could see me wearing that (**) ... except for the implied politics

(**) which is kind of funny, because I'd never at any point in my life have worn anything tie-died, and again because of the cultural-political implications

Meanwhile, this is the humor article I had started to read when I saw the ad -- Babylon Bee: Police Calm Millennial Protesters By Handing Out Participation Trophies

Pushing 60? As in pushing 60 years old? (or in internet years? or a level in an MMO?)

Seriously? I would have sworn you were actually younger than me.

Oh, that's an old picture (from 2000 or 2001). I turned 59 last August.

As for "game years", my current character/ruler in 'Crusader Kings II' (which is not a MMO) is 55. He looks way older than that; I expect that's his Russian genetics (he's the Emperor of Byzantium). I want him to die already, so that his son (who is already 36) can tke over and hopefully sire another son (*) and raise him to adulthood before dying.

(*) My character's son has two sons already, and (once I am playing as the son) could designate either of them as the primary heir. It's just that in this game, as ruler of that empire, the children born to one's character *after* he/she ascends the throne are given as special character-trait which gives them an automatic opinion boost with their subjects.

Also, because tie-died is *ugly*
